Bloom at Dusk is the first publication dedicated to the life and artistic journey of Jodhaiya Bai Baiga, a pioneering artist whose work has brought Baiga art to wider recognition. It traces her remarkable path from labourer to celebrated artist, highlighting how memories, rituals and forest life became the foundation of her distinctive visual language.

Rooted in Baiga cosmology and Indigenous knowledge systems, her paintings depict forests, animals, rivers and sacred beings as expressions of memory, spirituality and ecological balance. Featuring essays, archival material and visual documentation, the publication also chronicles the landmark exhibition of her work. Bloom at Dusk is both an artist monograph and a tribute to Jodhaiya Bai Baiga’s enduring legacy in contemporary Indigenous art.
