During the one year of the project in 2009, some of India’s most well known contemporary artists, travelled the same route that Mahatma Gandhi took in 1930 to better understand Gandhi’s role in contemporary Indian history and in the future of India’s cultural and social fabric.

This project culminated in to an art show and this publication. The exhibition was shown at multiple venue – Lalit Kala Akademi (2010) and Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (2011) in Delhi, followed by Nehru Centre, London and Gandhi Memorial Center, Washington DC.
