Siddhartha Das is a visual artist, designer, and scenographer. He founded Siddhartha Das Studio in 2002 as a multidisciplinary practice integrating spatial design, research, and storytelling. Over more than two decades, his work has been shaped by deep engagement with India’s craft traditions, museum practices, and heritage environments.
His artistic work includes installations at the airports in Bengaluru and Guwahati, the Southbank Centre in London, and projects across Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Mumbai. He has been an artist-in-residence at Fogo Island Arts in Canada and at the Fukuoka Art Museum in Japan.
His scenographic and design work spans heritage sites such as Jal Mahal, Jaipur, the Former British Residency, Hyderabad, and Sardar Govt. Museum, Jodhpur, as well as exhibitions at the V&A, London, Museum Rietberg, Zurich, Museum of Meenakari Heritage, Jaipur, IGNCA, the Crafts Museum, New Delhi and the Master Pavilion at the Swadesh Store in Mumbai.
He studied at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad; Domus Academy, Milan; and Hindu College, Delhi, and began his professional journey by teaching at his alma mater, the Rishi Valley School.
