Shiv grew up in the village of Kundagaon, in the district of Bastar. He completed his Bachelors and masters in fine arts from MS Univeristy, Baroda. In 2008, he got the promising artist award from IHC and Art India magazine and also exhibited his works in Delhi. His works imbibe the cultural with the contemporary and the contemporary with the cultural. His works are in many prominent collections in India and overseas. He continues to live in Baroda.
