S.C. Suman is a famous artist of Mithila painting, inspired by his grandmother and mother. He won various awards in school and college competitions. He inherited all traits of the ‘Kachni’ style of Mithila painting and later on created amalgamation of ‘Kachni’ style and ‘Bharni’ style which opened a new dimension for Mithila painting. He lives in Nepal and has worked on the contemporary issues of political conflict and social disharmony widespread in Nepal.
