Prasanta Mukherjee did his Master degree in sculpture from MSU, Baroda, India. He received aTata grant to do his post-graduation and then received a one year fellowship at Kanoria Centre of Arts, Ahmedabad. In 1994 he moved to Delhi and presently lives and works here. In 1999he received a Fulbright Fellowship to travel to Chicago. He has exhibited his works extensively in India and abroad. He also participated in various national and international artist in resident programs. He is an art educator and teaches as visiting faculty in different art and design colleges in Delhi and NCR. He also held sculpture workshops in Singapore and many cities in the US.
