KS Radhakrishnan obtained his BFA and MFA in Sculpture from Viswa Bharati University, Shantiniketan. In 1978 he received a National Scholarship and in 1981 he received a fellowship from Lalit Kala Akademi to work at Garhi Studios in New Delhi. In his work, Radhakrishnan continually searches for and celebrates the sensual. Through this exploration of form and sensuality, Radhakrishnan’s work has the unique quality of seeming at once both intimate and universal.
His solo shows include ‘Freehold’ at the Museum Gallery in Mumbai and the Artalive Gallery, New Delhi (2006); Kanakakkunnu Palace, Thiruvanthapuram (2010); ‘The Ramp’ at Sridharani Art Gallery in New Delhi and Bayer ABS Limited Gallery, Vadodara (2004); ‘Song of the Road’ sponsored by International Travel House, ITC, New Delhi (1998); Centre des Bonds de Marne in LePerreux-Bry sur-Marne, Paris (1993). Radhakrishnan has also installed sculptures in India and abroad, at sites including the India House, London (1988) and TMI (Time Manager International)
