KM Madhusudhanan studied painting at the College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram and did his post-graduate work in printmaking at M.S. University, Vadodara. He has received numerous awards for his work, including Best Film at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival in Thessaloniki, Greece. His ‘History is a Silent Film’ was selected for screening at the Outstanding Short Films from International Festivals at the Museum of Modern Art, New York. His first feature film, Bioscope, received the NETPAC Jury Award for Best Asian Film at Osian’s Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema in New Delhi.
Selected exhibitions include ‘Relative VISA’ at Bodhi Art Gallery, Mumbai (2009); ‘Everything 2008’ with the Willem Baars Project, Amsterdam (2008); ‘Expressions at Tihar,’ Ojas Art, New Delhi (2009); ‘Through the Bioscope’ at Gallery OED, Cochi (2008); and ‘Chaos in Order’ in Hanoi, Vietnam (2008).
