Kamlesh Roy is a famous contemporary artist of Mithila Painting born in Madhubani, Bihar. He completed B.F.A in painting from Prachin Kala Kendra, Chandigarh and got training in Mithila painting from Mithila Art Institute for two years. In his artworks he demonstrates the trends of Indian village, wild life and political situation in Bihar. Apart from his exhibition at India Habitat Center, Academy of Fine Arts and Literature, his paintings have been exhibited internationally at Folk Art Museum (Los Angeles), Chazen Museum, Wisconsin, Norbertellen Gallery (Los Angeles).
