Born in Rajasthan. He did his B.F.A. (Painting) and M.F.A. (Painting) from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda. He has held many solo shows including one at Brisbane, Australia and one in Paris, France. For Chintan, the sculptures and his paintings serve as units of cultural information, symbols of political memes, they look like cyberblitzs, they represent the utilitarian de-spiritualized universe and open up the possibilities of new realms of reality. A firm believer of taking arts to the grass root level, he initiated Sandarbh, which has involved rural communities across India, England and the USA. He works and lives in Mumbai.
