Arunkumar HG received his Bachelors and Masters in Fine Arts specializing in Sculpture from M.S. University, Vadodara. He is the recipient of numerous awards and special recognition for his work and is the winner of the Lalit Kala Academy Award.
Selected exhibitions include ‘TRACT’ at Nature Morte, New Delhi (2010); ‘Expressions at Tihar,’ Ojas Art, New Delhi (2009); Hunger World Social Forum in Porto Alegre, Brazil (2005); ‘Journeys’ at Anant Art Gallery, New Delhi (2004); ‘Sheesha’ at Ecole Superieure des Beaux-arts De Tours, France (2003); and Adelaide Festival of Arts in Adelaide, Australia (2002). He has also participated in several workshops and residencies including the ARCUS Artist-in-Residence program, Moriya Town in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan (1999); KHOJ International Artist-in-Residence, Khirki village, New Delhi (2000); CHROMA Public Art Project in Bergen, Norway (2003); and International Artists Camp, George Keyt Foundation, Colombo (2004).
