Mayur and Tushar Vayeda are Warli artists and brothers whose work redefines the intersection of folk tradition and contemporary art. Born into the Warli tribe of Western India, they are deeply rooted in ancestral practices while pushing the boundaries of what indigenous art can become in the modern world. Their creative base is in Ganjad, Maharashtra, in a former community school once run by their grandfather, Vasudeo Vayeda — a space now transformed into a vibrant studio and gathering place for young local artists.

Motivated by a desire to revive and protect the deep cultural lineage of Warli art, they approach their practice with a sense of responsibility to their community and its oral traditions.
