Jagannath Panda received his BFA in Sculpture from B.K College of Art, Bhubaneshwar (1991) and MFAs in Sculpture from M.S. University, Vadodara (1994) and the Royal College of Art, London in 2002. He was also a visiting research fellow at Fukuoka University, Japan (1997) and a participant at the International City des’Art, Paris (2003).
His solo shows include ‘The Action of Nowhere’ at Alexia Goethe Gallery, London and at Nature Morte, Delhi (2009); ‘Nothing Is Solid’ at Gallery Chemould, Mumbai (2007); Za Moca Foundation Gallery, Tokyo (1998). His group shows include ‘India Xianzai: Contemporary Indian Art’ at MOCA, Shanghai (2009); National Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul; Essl Museum, Vienna (2009); ‘Expressions at Tihar,’ Ojas Art, New Delhi (2009); and ‘Chalo! India: A New Era in Indian Art’ at Mori Museum, Tokyo (2008).
