For over a decade, Ojas Art has been at the forefront of promoting and engaging with Indian indigenous arts. In 2024, we took an experimental step with Musawwari: Miniatures Today, an exhibition that explored and showcased the works of artists from around the world who practice in the Indo-Persian miniature painting tradition.
This year, we present the second chapter, Masnavi: Lores Across Lands. The exhibition brings together seventeen artists from nearly ten countries, all united by their engagement with this beautiful and intricate art form.
‘Masnavi’ gently gathers these visual narratives as a constellation of profound connections, softly reminding us of the enduring, binding power of stories to beautifully unite generations, cultures, and communities.
The artworks exemplify the evolution and relevance of a centuries old tradition, transcending the boundaries of time and geography. Through these creations, we witness how tradition provides for a fertile ground for innovation and creative expression. Rooted in centuries of practice yet reimagined through contemporary sensibilities, these works affirm the art form’s enduring vitality. The exhibition invites a deeper inquiry into its dynamic transformations—revealing how the echoes of the past continue to shape, challenge, and invigorate artistic expression today.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all the participating artists, whose talent and conviction form the cornerstone of this exhibition. Our deepest appreciation goes to the curator, Khushboo Jain, and the team at Ojas Art, whose dedication and passion have brought this vision to fruition.
