KS Radhakrishnan

Musui and Maiya are part alter egos of the sculptor and part fictional characters through whom Radhakrishnan has been exploring the world and sharing his perceptions with us the assumed detachment of a third person narrative.
Born in Kottayam (Kerala), educated in Santiniketan, has had more than fifteen solo shows including at Centre des Bonds de Marne in LePerreux-Bry sur Marne (Paris), Lalit Kala Akademi (New Delhi), Birla Academy of Art and Culture (Kolkata).
K.S.Radhakrishnan’s bronze sculptures have always catered to people with classic taste and an eye for refined aesthetics. He believes that a sculpture is meant to live in freedom. It needs sky and a landscape as its backdrop.
Seen here at JLF, Maiya as Writer (2005), Freehold Musui (2008) and Maiya as a Graduate (2006) rejoicing freedom, creativity and the written word.
