Sumedh Rajendran

(b.1972, Kerala) Sumedh Rajendran obtained a BFA in Sculpture from the College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram and a MFA in Sculpture from  the College of Art, New Delhi. He has also participated in various residencies across South Asia in Khoj, Colombo and New Delhi.

His solo shows include ‘Chemical Smuggle’ at Grosvenor Vadehra, London (2008); ‘Street-Fuel Blackout’ at the Sakshi Gallery, Mumbai and Vadehra Art Gallery, New Delhi (2006); ‘Pseudo Homelands’ at Rohtas Art Gallery in Lahore, Pakistan (2005). His group shows include ‘Indian Summer’ at Galerie Christian Hosp, Berlin (2009); ‘Progressive to Altermodern: 62 Years of Indian Modern Art’ at the Grosvenor Gallery, London (2009); ‘Expressions at Tihar,’ Ojas Art, New Delhi (2009); and ‘Portrait of a Place’ at the Rob Dean Art Gallery, London (2008).
