Picturing Time: The Greatest Photographs of Raghu Rai

The exhibition, Picturing Time focuses on the most creative images from artist's 50 year of stellar career. 50 images, mark 50 years of the master photographer‘s work, the exhibition includes Rai’s trademark black and white, and coloured ones. The images on display at the exhibition will be spanning various subjects -- from breathtaking stills capturing the grain of both traditional and contemporary India, there will be city-specific stills on display too; images through which Rai captured the rich tapestry, the very DNA, which defines India.

Raghu Rai recorded the nation's history as it was being made; this series shows the humanity that lies at the heart of that history. In his own words, "If people can connect with my pictures and enjoy them that is enough for me. It's like you are walking down the street and you smile at someone and they smile back. There is nothing given and nothing taken. It is just like a little nudge, a recognition of humanity and life. That is what photography means to me."
